Preparation and testing artificial substrate

Reliable solutions will be develop for substrate composition based on the need to provide nutrients and water to the vegetation, maintain physical structure over time and satisfy weight limitations. We will test natural topsoils (input data on soil characteristics from WP1 to set the range of optimal values), constructed soils and combinations of these for chemical and physical variables relevant for plant performance.
